Kadin: Indonesia's economy will grow 5.5 percent in 2024

Deputy Chairperson for Maritime Affairs, Investment and Foreign Affairs of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Shinta Widjaja Kamdani hopes for political stability this election year. According to him, in the short term, elections can contribute to economic growth in line with the tendency to increase public consumption.

The National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) projects Indonesia's economic growth rate at 4.9 percent to 5.2 percent in 2024.
Head of BRIN's Center for Macroeconomic and Financial Research, Zamroni Salim, is optimistic that there will be no significant economic shocks next year. "Now economic growth in 2023 is in the range of 5.0 percent to 5.1 percent. This means that if our predictions at the upper limit come true, then there will be improvement," said Zamroni.
