Pertamina's Oil and Gas Production Reaches 897 MBOEPD
Indonesia's state-owned oil and gas company, Pertamina, recorded a significant achievement of oil and gas production throughout 2021.
The accumulated performance of Pertamina's Subholding Upstream oil and gas production in the 2021 period reached 897 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day (BOEPD).
This achievement was obtained from the performance of oil production reaching 445 thousand barrels per day, and gas production performance reaching 2,615 million cubic feet of gas per day.
This shows the commitment of Pertamina's Upstream Subholding to contribute to achieving the national target of 1 million barrels of oil per day and 12 billion standard cubic feet of gas per day by 2030.
This was stated by Budiman Parhusip, President Director of PT Pertamina Hulu Energi, as Pertamina's Upstream Subholding, Saturday (29 January).
Budiman said that this achievement was a contribution from all regional Pertamina Upstream Subholdings, both domestically and internationally.
For domestic total oil production reached 349 thousand barrels per day, while for international total oil production reached 96 thousand barrels per day.
For the performance of domestic gas production, it reached 2,290 million cubic feet of gas per day or 100 percent of the 2021 RKAP target. For the achievement of international gas production, which reached 324 million cubic feet of gas per day.
Budiman is grateful to be able to pass 2021 quite well by completing the drilling of 350 development wells and 12 exploration wells.
Fundamentally, we continue to make aggressive efforts to find and add oil and gas reserves to ensure the sustainability of energy supply for Indonesia.
The addition of proven reserves in the Upstream Subholding in 2021 will reach 623 million barrels of oil equivalent (MMBOE) or 104 percent of the 2021 RKAP target. Meanwhile, the addition of 2C resources in 2021 will reach 487 MMBOE.
In 2022, the aggressiveness of the company's operations is started with the discovery of new hydrocarbon resources in the Manpatu-1X Exploration well in the Pertamina Hulu Mahakam Working Area and the Sungai Gelam Timur (SGET)-001 Exploration well in the Pertamina EP Jambi Field Work Area.
In addition, Pertamina's Upstream Subholding also participates in supporting the net zero emission program through various studies and innovations to reduce the impact of carbon emissions and support the energy transition.
