Indonesia's Daily Covid-19 Cases Reach 16,000
The daily cases of Covid-19 in Indonesia on Tuesday (1 February 2022) increased to 16,021 cases.
The Covid-19 Handling Task Force (Satgas) reported that DKI Province dominated the number of additional cases, namely 6,391 patients. Then followed by West Java Province with 4,249 patients, Banten 2,463, East Java 760, and Bali 715 patients.
"So the total positive confirmed cases since March 2020 until now have revealed 4,369,391 people," the Task Force wrote in its report.
Of the total 16,021 daily cases, 15,485 patients were cases of local transmission and the other 536 were imported cases from overseas travelers.
The most daily recovered Covid-19 patients were in DKI Jakarta Province with 1,668 people, West Java 869 people, East Java 292 people, Banten 253 people and Central Java 47 people.
Nationally, the daily recovery rate increased by 3,240 people, bringing the total to 4,143,694 as of March 2020.
For additional cases, the highest number of deaths was in DKI Jakarta Province as many as 12 people, West Java four people, Central Java and Bali, three people each, and Lampung two people.
It was recorded that the total daily death cases nationally reached 28 people, bringing the total to 144,348 people.
The Covid-19 Task Force also noted that the number of active cases of COVID-19 sufferers who are still undergoing treatment and self-isolation is currently 12,753 active cases, bringing a total of 81,349 cases.
The COVID-19 Task Force also recorded 12,121 people who were included in the suspect category from 377,588 specimens in laboratory numbers throughout Indonesia.
